Over a year ago, I found out that I am allergic to wheat and rice. Chaos ensued, along with a whole lot of starvation and shell shock. Frankly, most substitutes for wheat include rice in them, so really. I was hungry. A lot. BUT all was not lost. It turns out that there's a fair amount of products that don't have rice in them, and if you want my sincerest opinion, they usually taste way better! But nothing had yet come anywhere close to the yumminess of a normal chocolate chip cookie. Either the cookies are way too chewy (I need some bite), or taste like, well, cardboard. Even the chocolate! (??!)
Enter Good Habit GF products. I first saw this company while wandering around Gilt Taste (if you want some eye (and tummy) candy, I highly recommend checking Gilt Taste out!). Then after speaking with the company, we decided to do a review and giveaway for you, my fabulous readers!
I was sent the same thing that's being given away, which is the sampler pack. It includes a bag of GF homemade granola, 2 GF chocolate chip cookies, 2 GF carrot cake cookies, and 2 dark chocolate peanut butter cookies. I was most excited about the chocolate chip cookies, but I was surprised by what I loved most. I am not a peanut butter cookie fan normally, but seriously. The dark chocolate peanut butter cookies are to die for! All three of the cookies have good crunch, and all three are pretty yummy with milk (another necessity), but the dark chocolate peanut butter cookies are the best! The peanut butter taste is not overwhelming, and did I mention the dark chocolate? It definitely takes care of my cookie needs, which is a BIG deal!
Now, the granola. When they say homemade, they mean it. I took a quick bite not expecting much (I was there for the cookies, after all), and I could not believe how yummy it was. It makes an awesome breakfast with milk or yogurt, or just a yummy snack plain. I don't usually like fruit in my granola, but I found that the fruit in this one was not at all overwhelming, and made it just the right amount of sweet. SO GOOD!
